Following a brainstorming session with South Grove’s Head Teacher, we were tasked to develop a vibrant brand that would reflect the school’s personality and diversity - a brand to inspire, give a sense of belonging and be worn with pride. After a personal tour to get a complete feel for the school, its ethos and how much it meant to the staff and children, the discerning pupils interviewed us to make sure we were up to the job!

The school’s existing purple brand colour was to be retained as it had a long association with South Grove but we added a strong green to add vibrancy and signify achievement, alongside shades of both to allow for visual flexibility across brand assets. The hand print tree emblem firmly conveys togetherness and growth and can be deconstructed to adapt for different purposes. We conducted a comprehensive photo-shoot to capture the personality of the school and its people.
The website really is the hub of the school and features a complex Content Management System that allows for separate log-in areas for pupils, teachers and governors and fully updatable by administrators for page content, news items, event listings, etc. The prospectus, stationery and other brand assets are highly engaging, with clear messaging, providing a consistent perception of the school and its ethos across all media and contact points.
